While we previously shared the comforting Korean street food, Eomuk Guk or Fishcake Soup (here) being enjoyed in cold winters in Korea, here's another variation that you shouldn't miss out too — Fish Cake Udon!

Similar to Eomuk Guksu, which comprises of fishcake and noodles soup, just switch out the noodles with udon and this dish is complete! 

The Plan Fish Cake Udon comprises of chewy udon noodles, chewy fish cakes shaped just like udon, thick soup made with Katsuobushi base (that explains its sweetness) along with rich toppings; harmonised as one in this dish. We love how the udon noodles contrast nicely with the savoury umami flavours of the accompanying soup stock, as well as the green onion and fish flake toppings.

This comforting, quick fix is not only fuss-free, easy to cook (there's not a need to cook from scratch) but how it also does not fall short on flavour. A fulfilling and simple meal that you can cook in minutes for the whole family — Trust us, the kids will love it too! 

Consumption Instructions

    • Boil 500-550ml of water in a pot.
    • When the water starts boiling, add the sauce and fish cake and boil for 3-4mins.
    • Add in the udon noodles and bring it to a boil for 2mins. Turn off the heat and add the flake.
